Poetry Anthology

During term one 5/6B have learnt all about poetry.  We began with poetetic language, identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs that make poems interesting.  The we learnt about rhyme, creating rhyming couplets and short rhyming poems.  From there we moved on to alliteration, onomatopoeia, similes and metaphors, and finally looked at how all these conventions of poetry help to create imagery in the poems we read and write.

For the end of the poetry unit we had to write our own poems using some or all of the above.  Please visit our blogs and tell us how do you think we went.

Welcome!

Hi all and welcome to the 5/6B writing space.  This is where we will share all our writing from the year.  Poems, narratives, information reports, the list goes on . . .  Everyone in our class will be sharing their writing with the world.  We are proud of what we write and so we want people to see it.  Parents, friends, classmates, anyone from anywhere, you are all invited to have a good read!

Please visit each person’s page and let us know what you think.  We welcome all comments and feedback, and appreciate positive and friendly people.  We hope you enjoy this site.
